A source sang to SegaWeb, and it told that a new Dreamcast might be hitting store shelves shortly after the domestic release of the PS2. Why? DVD is the word. As you may well know by now, the PS2 is selling in Japan mostly due to its DVD capabilities. Add this to the fact that Dreamcast DVD prototype was shown at E3 last month, and it is a sure possibility this might happen. It is not known though whether the next Dreamcast would feature DVD as its only enhancement. Another possibility to consider is if this next version were release, the Dreamcast market would be very split, and it might spell problems for Sega. We will see if this happens, though.
