SegaSonic.Net Lawsuit: Fan Reaction

SegaSonic.Net Lawsuit: Fan Reaction

by January 30, 2001

Fans, at this point, are worried, particularly because many believe that if the lawsuit goes through, the Sonic Fan Games HQ may be next. I can’t post all comments here, but I can tell you that Shayne Thames, who helped in the SonicTeam.Com transfer (which was peaceful, mind you), is offering to help out, and that AJ Freda could open SSNTails.Org as early as this evening. SAGE, right now, will probably not be stopped.

The Sonic Scene has been in contact with AJ via E-Mail, he has said to us that he will see if he can keep the domain name, and if not, the SSNTails.Org domain seems likely. Also, he only disabled the main page, meaning that if you can remember HTML file names, you can still access other sections of the site. Finally, all the media that was present on SSN will return in some form if Sega shuts the site down.

The Sonic Scene will have continuing coverage of this potential fan crisis.
