We have new information on the XBox launch–it has now been pushed back to November 15th, three days before the GameCube launch. Microsoft will not say whether the company will still be able to deliver 600,000 to 800,000 units at launch. However, they appear to be confident that 100,000 units will still be shipped every week after the launch up to the Holiday season. Fifteen to twenty titles will still be available at launch with ten more expected to surface by the end of the year. And, the US slip will not impact the Japanese and European launches.
With this news, Microsoft stock was down today $1.05, a little over two percent, to $49.71.
