NFL Head Coach to be Sold Separately

Originally Bundle Only with Madden ‘09

Remember when we had told you about how NFL Head Coach ‘09 would only be bundled with the special anniversary edition of the upcoming Madden ‘09?  Electronic Arts has since pulled a 180.

Today EA Sports announced that the game will be available standalone at full price–$49.99.  The game will be available only for XBOX 360 and the Playstation 3 when it goes on sale September 2nd.  On the other hand, the bundle with Madden ‘09 still exists, and it comes out a few weeks earlier on August 12th, with a $10 discount.

The move comes after criticism in the gaming community of the initial decision to only bundle the game.
