Gamestop To Host Nationwide GTA IV Launch Events

Celebrate the release of GTA IV with midnight launches across the country…

GameStop Corp. has announced that it will host a special launch event on Monday, April 28th, 2008, at over 3,500 U.S. GameStop stores (Which also include EBGames locations) for the launch of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto IV by Rockstar Games. The events will begin after 9:00 P.M. local time at most participating GameStop locations, though customers are encouraged to contact their local store for an exact time of the launch event.

The events will celebrate one of the most anticipated games of 2008 and include trivia contests, Grand Theft Auto character look-a-like contests and giveaways leading up to the 12:01 a.m. Tuesday release. If it’s anything like the Halo 3 launch (Imagine a line of people squeezed around a entire strip-mall twice), it’ll be hard enough getting inside the building to even grab your copy of the game and leave in one piece.
