Online Retailer No Longer Taking Pre-Orders
Less than two weeks away from its domestic launch, Amazon.com is fresh out of Wii Fit packages.
Joystiq reports that ever since the online shop took pre-orders for the game on April 15th, the pickings have been going at a rate of 2.5 per minute. At that rate, we’re talking tens of thousands of pre-orders sold in a matter of just a couple weeks.
If the trend holds through all American retailers, this could be a sell-out trifecta for Nintendo–first with Super Smash Bros. Brawl, then with Mario Kart Wii, and now this. If you can still find a place to pre-order anywhere, Wii Fit is still going for 90 bucks.
