Follows Amazon’s Lead
The prospect of a trifecta for Nintendo sales bonanzas seems more evident.
Right on the news that Amazon would stop pre-orders, today retail giant Gamestop announced they would follow suit. On their website they now list the item as “Not for Sale.” On the retail side, it’s a little more stable, with some stores still offering slots, though many others are not.
All this leads to a question that we’re pretty sure hasn’t been asked in the industry for a long time, if ever–just how well can a fitness centric game sell? It’ll be a couple of weeks but the results, if these pre-order sellouts are any indication, could prove startling, especially on successful launches for Brawl and Mario Kart Wii.
