Rumor suggests that the movie rights to the PS3 game have been bought…
For a game that hasn’t even been out long enough to get a sequel, the movie rumors have already started. Joystiq.com reports that “a well-placed source close to the deal tells us that the movie rights to Naughty Dog’s highly cinematic action-adventure game, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, have been optioned by Atlas Entertainment.” Atlas Entertainment have produced such films as Three Kings and Fallen as of recently. When asked for comment, SCEA spokesperson told Joystiq, “We have not made any announcements regarding movie options.” So stick this in the rumor-bin for now, considering most of this is just speculation.
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune was released late last year on the PlayStation 3 video game system, receiving mostly positive reviews from game publications.
