West Virginia Kid Sells Games…for Hillary

$440 of possessions sold; given to Clinton campaign
We’re not necessarily ones to bloviate about politics or whatever our personal biases may be. However, when something as charming and innocent or as utterly incomprehensible as this crosses our desks, we have to just sit here for a bit and scratch our heads.
Hillary Clinton, the Democrat still in the running for her party’s nomination for President of the United States next month, received a rather hefty donation recently from a pretty young kid.
Eleven year old Dalton Hatfield presented Ms. Clinton with a check for $440 in Williamson, West Virginia on Friday. The kicker is that he raised the money by himself by selling his material possessions.
Those possessions, according to the AP, included his bicycle and some of his video game collection. How’s that for resting on some Clintonian laurels?
All the items, according to Dalton, were things he “didn’t need.”
Even more interesting is that his parents initially thought he was trying to raise money for the family vacation. Rant alert: If your 11 year old if the primary fund raiser for your family’s vacation, he needs to lay off the coal mines after school and let his parents start being the bread givers.
That aside, upon acceptance, Ms. Clinton was apparently speechless at Dalton’s generosity. At least the party will know he’ll willingly give up his games when they opt to regulate them.
