First Phantasy Star Portable Trailer Released

Andrew Paulson, Managing Editor | May 14, 2008

With the Japanese release only a few months away, the very first trailer has been released…

With Phantasy Star Portable’s July 31st Japanese release coming up, it was not a surprise to see the very first trailer of the game finally released. The trailer mostly features a computer-generated opening sequence with a few character introductions and story details (all in Japanese), though towards the end it features some in-game footage. Sega has also mentioned in a flyer that they will be sending out UMD demos to retailers as a give away for gamers just before the launch.

In honor of the game’s release, Sega also plans on releasing a special quest for Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Illuminus, which Phantasy Star Portable is based on. If by chance the game does sell well in Japan, a North American release could be a possibility, as has been the case with many other Sony PSP games.
