JP: Almost All Console Sales Down

The one machine seeing an increase is surprising
Japan’s console sales from May 12th through the 18th saw an almost across the board dip in sales.
The figures from Media Create have Sony’s Playstation Portable still on top in total sales with 70,000+ but that’s a dip of more than 20 percent. The Wii follows with just over 41,000–a 38.24% drop. Nintendo’s DS Lite also saw a dip in sales of more than 30 percent, with just under 35,000 sold for the week.
Rounding out the rest of the drop is the PS3 and PS2–the former barely beating out the latter. Surprisingly, while still dead last in total sales, the XBOX 360 saw an increase by about 200 consoles. Plunk the percentages in, and a 13.56% increase seems really formidable on paper.
