Nyko Denies IP Infringement
The US District Court in Washington will soon hear Nintendo’s case against third party hardware accessory developer Nyko.
Nintendo claims Nyko’s wireless Kama nunchuk, which retails nearly fifteen dollars higher than Nintendo’s official (and wired) peripheral, infringes on their patents and trademarks relating to the Nunchuk name and the peripheral’s designs.
Speaking in a telephone interview, a Nyko representative claimed:
We have not knowingly violated anyone’s intellectual property and we’re still examining this.
There’s no word on damages Nintendo is seeking from Nyko.
