Wii Twilight Hack to Work Again

Bug in Menu 3.3 Software Exploited

Well, that didn’t take long.

The folks at HackMii were able to at least make the widely known exploit in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess accessible again, after Nintendo released a minor system update that, in part, meant to squash that bug.

The Twilight Princess hack allows homebrewn code to be executed on the Wii system.  In some instances it can allow for import games to be played.

It turns out the code Nintendo wrote to fix that bug had some bugs itself.  So, new code was written to ignore the check the Wii Menu 3.3 does for that exploit.

The code to unfix Nintendo’s fix hasn’t been released yet.
