First @ TSSZ: Sonic Unleashed Listed for DS Release in Europe

Remember a few days back when we reported something called Sonic Attitude may make the cut for E3?  It was for the Nintendo DS and was largely scoffed at by the Sonic community at large.

It may not be titled Sonic Attitude, but we now have new, official information that gives portable owners reason to believe some variant of the upcoming multiplatform release of Sonic Unleashed may make it onto the DS after all.

Nintendo of Europe’s official release list for the rest of the year is now available.  In addition to the listing of Sonic Chronicles for September, another DS title, this under the Unleashed name, is on the list, scheduled for “Late 2008.”

Also noteworthy on the list is the Wii edition of Sonic Unleashed on track for a similar “Late 2008″ release in Europe.  If true, this may show that Sega will not shortchange the faithful fanbase overseas during the Holiday season, not just for the Wii, but across all platforms.

We are working hard to confirm the purported development of this new title under the Sonic Unleashed brand for the DS.  We have no word thus far on a domestic announcement or release date.  Keep your eyes peeled to TSSZ News, as our team of reporters will keep you abreast of the latest developments.
