After being listed on Nintendo of Europe’s official release list…

Today we reported on a possible Nintendo DS version of the upcoming Sonic Unleashed video game, which is currently scheduled to be released on the Sony PlayStation 2, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 video game systems this November. After being listed on Nintendo of Europe’s official release list for the rest of 2008, Sega was quick to deny that Sonic Unleashed would be heading to the Nintendo DS. SEGA contacted VideoGamer.com that the game is not planned for release on the Nintendo DS.

This was the second rumor of a possible new Sonic DS video game, it was reported on TSSZ News 4 days ago that a mystery game called “Sonic Attitude” might be heading to Nintendo’s handheld. Even though Sega has denied Sonic Unleashed for the Nintendo DS, it’s still very odd that two rumors, one of which is listed on a official Nintendo website, have quickly shown up.

After the Sega FTP fiasco that unleashed Sonic Unleashed early, there is still a small chance that this could also be another slip by a company that has had a recent problem of keeping things a secret.
