Vote Sonic At The Golden Joystick Awards

Mario & Sonic, Sonic Unleashed, and Sonic 2: Dash up for awards this year…

Voting for this year’s Golden Joystick Awards has started and our favorite blue hedgehog has been nominated for several awards this year. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Wii) is up for The Sun Family Game of The Year and Nintendo Game of The Year awards, while the DS version is up for the Bliss Handheld Game of The Year. Also up for a award is Sonic The Hedgehog 2: Dash, nominated for the 4Talent Mobile Game of The Year, and Sega for Publisher of The Year.

What will not come to a surprise to most Sonic fans is Sonic Unleashed being nominated for the One to Watch Award, which is a award handed out to upcoming video games currently showing the most potential. Heres what the Golden Joystick Awards has to say about Sonic Unleashed:

Probably the internet’s worst kept secret, Sonic Unleashed was finally revealed this year to tears of sheer joy from the spiky one’s legion of fans. Built on the new Hedgehog engine, Sonic will unleash smooth 3D to 2D gameplay and multiple paths through dynamic, fantastic worlds of sheer Sonic delight.
