New Sonic DVDs Coming Soon

Andrew Paulson | July 2, 2008

Both SatAM and AoSTH to get more DVD releases soon…

Both the Saturday Morning Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM) and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon series are expecting more DVD releases soon. Scheduled for release on September 16, 2008, is Sonic the Hedgehog: The Fight for Freedom, a single-disc DVD retailing for $6.99 on Amazon.com. Besides the boxart shown, there isn’t much information on what episodes will be included in this DVD.

Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog will be getting two DVD releases, the first to be released this month on the 22nd, titled Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog: The Fastest Thing in Time. The DVD will retail for $6.99 and will include the 4-part Chaos Emerald saga episodes, Blackbot the Pirate,  Hedgehog of the Hound Table, Prehistoric Sonic, and Robotnik’s Pyramid Scheme. Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog: Robotnik Strikes Back is another AoSTH DVD, set for release on September 16, 2008, for a retail of $6.99 as well. So far there isn’t any details on what episodes will be included on this DVD either, though there will likely be 4 episodes as usual.

It is currently rumored that a volume 2 box-set of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog is set for release towards the end of the year, stick around TSSZ News for further news on this as we find it.

Is their ever going to be a complete series box set of AOSTH? I have all of SATAM, and I want to complete my collection

    I agree with SpeedingHedgehog.

I have the SatAM DVD set, and I also have both Sonic Underground DVD sets.

I just need AoSTH to complete my collection.
