Portugese video game magazine dishes new details on Sonic Unleashed…

Thanks for the Sega Nerds Forums, we now have scans of the full article from MaxiConsolas, a popular Portugese video game magazine that has dished out some new information on Sonic Unleashed. As we reported earlier today, the article reveals that like in Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic’s abilities can be improved through experience points you’ll gain throughout gameplay.

It’s also confirmed that other characters, including Tails, will be playable through mini-games, which could be similar to mini-games featured in Sonic and the Secret Rings. It seems the previous rumors have now been confirmed as true, New York and China will be presented as levels in Sonic Unleashed.

MaxiConsolas mentions some of their impressions of the game, which they noted some of the slowdown issues during gameplay, but were mostly impressed with the camera and how the Hedgehog Engine handles transitions between 2D and 3D.
