$199 Arcade, $299 Pro, $399 Elite Reported
If you missed the price cut of the 20GB XBOX 360 Pro to $279 in order to make way for the new 60GB models, don’t worry–they’ll all be cut soon.
A report on Ars Technica indicatesthe cuts will occur across the board on September 7th. The Arcade model will hit $199, making it the cheapest of the current-gen consoles to own. The new 60GB Pro, which just hit store shelves for $349, would go down to $299, and the 120GB Elite model will hit $399.
A lookup of upcoming SKUs seen on Kotaku seems to confirm at least the Arcade getting a cut soon. So, if you were eyeing one of the 20GB models at a discount, you may just want to spend August saving up another twenty bucks and waiting until all models presumably come down in price. Between this news and Wii’s continued dominance, the upcoming Holiday sales season ought to be mighty interesting in the gaming world.
