Rumored Famitsu Attribution Doesn’t Exist

A report in from Kotaku suggests that Microsoft may foot the bill to bring Final Fantasy XIII to the XBOX 360 in Japan.  Problem is…that article doesn’t exist in the latest edition.

Sources had suggested to the site that in the latest edition, a FFXIII feature would disclose details on the game indeed coming to both the PS3 and the XBOX 360 next Summer in Japan.  The information noted that Microsoft would foot the bill for Square Enix’s breaking of the exclusivity agreement with Sony.  There were already some indications that FFXIII would hit other Asian territories, making the game easy to localize with subtitles–but now even that is being retracted to a speculative status.

Kotaku recently updated its report to reflect the lack of such information in the newest Famitsu magazine.  Where the truth lies with this information now, no one knows.
