Sonic Unleashed Boxart is Official

Sega.com Product Page shows the recently revealed Sonic Unleashed boxart…

Sonic Unleashed boxart has recently been revealed on Amazon Uk’s Sonic Unleashed game pages, but the real question was if it is official or just a very fancy placeholder. We can now confirm that the boxart is official, showing up on Sega.com’s Sonic Unleashed product page, the small boxart at the top right corner of the page refreshes every few seconds to show a different game system version. What we still do not know is if this will be the final version of the boxart in both the US and UK, or if it will be changed before release.

Another quick update to comment on is that Sega has recently updated their official Sonic Unleashed Microsite with new official artwork, I ripped the image off of the site for you to view below:

Hmm. Personally, I’d love to see how the Japanese box art looks. Not that the new box art isn’t impressive, but seeing how its “Sonic World Adventure” over there, I’d like to see them incorporate the idea of Sonic being on a world wide quest more in the box art, like how the box art for Sonic Unleashed features both Sonic and the Werehog

Well there is a chance they would use the image of the world in pieces in the background with Sonic/Werehog featured infront of it. As much as I like the US/UK Sonic Unleashed boxart, I expect the Sonic World Adventure boxart to be even better. Japan usually has very impressive boxart.
