21 Sonic Unleashed Wii Screens From Leipzig

Andrew Paulson, Managing Editor | August 20, 2008

So how does Werehog look in the Wii version?

There really hasn’t been many screenshots or footage from the Nintendo Wii version of Sonic Unleashed, especially not of Sonic’s Werehog version. Sega has just released 21 new screens at this year’s Leipzig Games Convention in Germany, the screenshots show off both regular Sonic and his Werehog form:

it looks intuitive and challenging yet simple and fun working with the wii controls i like the idea of sonic the werehog making you use your nunchuck attachment to climb up the pole by moving each controller up one at a time

Wow! my fear is gone! not only the wii version will be as fun as the original, with different designed levels but the graphics are really nice for a wii, the werehog looks a bit meh in the first screens, his fur is a bit messed up but in the last ones he looks better now watching that in action will be even better!

These screens are gorgeous, especially for a Wii game.

The only issue…not a biggy… why buzzsaws? In the middle of the path?

…at least they’re trying something new. Spikes are fine (so long as you avoid them) but while they’re a series staple, they’re also…cliche at times.

The werehog seems to look a lot more detailed…I know he looks a lot better in the XBOX 360/PS3 version. Maybe its because the only Werehog level screens we got for that was Mykonos. The High Europe level has a bit more light…interesting…

Looks Cool. Nice use of Wii Remote and Numchuk for Werehog. Blurry screenshot of Sonic’s Speed. I think SEGA’s done it!
