Company Embroiled in Unpaid Wage Scandal

It appears Tomonobu Itagaki’s ongoing lawsuit against Tecmo is going well.

Today Tecmo announced its president, Yoshimi Yasuda, will resign.  The resignation will be effective September 1st.  Mr. Yasuda cited personal reasons as rationale for leaving.

Current Tecmo Chairman of the Board Yasuharu Kakihara will assume the company presidency in September.

Recently Tecmo has been fighting what appears to be an uphill battle over a lawsuit first filed by former Team Ninja head Tomonobu Itagaki over unpaid wages promised pending the completion of Dead or Alive 4. A few other employees filed their own grievance with the court, and Tecmo eventually had to play damage control with the press.

These lawsuits haven’t been settled just yet, and we presume a decision will be rendered with Kakihara takes over the reigns of Tecmo.  We’ll bring you those results when they come down.
