PEGI Lists Sonic & Knuckles for Virtual Console

Could this mean the game is finally ready to see a release?
Thanks to our good friend Shadzter from The Sonic Stadium for the heads up, Sonic & Knuckles is now being listed on PEGI (European rating board) for Nintendo Wii’s Virtual Console. A few months ago ESRB also listed the game and since then there hasn’t been any other news on when it’ll be released. Usually after a game for Virtual Console or Xbox Live Arcade is listed for a rating, a release quickly follows. Sonic & knuckles is being given a 3+ rating.

Me mentioned again? *blushes* lol! Hopefully this game will feature the lock-on feature somehow, can’t see how it will be implemented though. If it is I imagine it’ll take up alot of space in the Wii’s tiny internal memory.
Yeah, a lock-on would be difficult, but could be done. I’m sure it’d be a feature if you already had downloaded the original 3 Sonic games on the Virtual Console. So if you had already downloaded Sonic 2, then with Sonic & Knuckles you could play as Knuckles in Sonic 2. If a lock-on feature could be implemented in Sonic Jam, why not the Wii?
