Major Retailer Anticipating Problems
Couldn’t find a Wii in 2006? How about 2007? Sadly, it appears your bad luck will continue right through the Holiday season of this year.
A GameDaily interview with GameStop CEO Dan DeMatteo has revealed the major retailer isn’t holding out much hope for plentiful Wii supplies this go-around. Evidently, demand for the console is higher than ever:
I’ve never seen this type of demand before. I know they’re making more, but we’re still short like everybody else. I think we’ll have a continued shortage this Christmas.
One should also expect similar expectations from other major retailers across the U.S. and perhaps around the world. It will be tough–get those pre-orders in now.
