Amazon, Gamefly List Sonic Genesis Collection

February 12, 2009 Date Listed for 360, PS3
If Sonic Unleashed does indeed fail as a next-generation Sonic title, it appears Sega is gearing up to satisfy what could be months of disdain from the fan community by preparing another trip down memory lane.
Both Gamefly and Amazon.com now have Sonic Genesis Collection listed, though you can’t pre-order it yet. Gamefly in particular has a release date of February 12, 2009. Other media outlets have reported this title to be Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection with a release date of two days earlier–and that may make sense, given that February 10th is on a Tuesday next year.
We do not have details right now on what may be included, as Sega has not officially announced the compilation yet. We also do not know if there will be a Wii release of the game or a PS2 edition–strange when you consider Unleashed will be getting a release on both consoles. Keep in mind, though, that Sonic Mega Collection Plus saw a PS2 release, perhaps negating the need for another rehash.
It’s in the Rumor Alert bin for now, but if we get new details, we will pass them along.

Needs Chaotix & SegaSonic
For me it depends on what bonus content this collection will have.If it will have a playable Knuckles Chaotix and playable SegaSonic as two of the bonus content then i might be interested.
I hope there’s a Wii or PS2 version, because that’s all I have. I might get a 360 if I get enough cash.
Sorry to hear that General/Soap. Though, I’m pretty sure they’ll be a Wii version. It may just come out at a later time is all. Anyways, I’m really hoping for Chaotix & SegaSonic. They’re the ony classics left (Excluding those crappy hafassed arcade only games like Waku Waku Patrol Car)
I WANT TO PLAY AS RAY SEGA!!!!
