GTA DS Allows Drug Dealing

Let the Backlash Begin

One of the more well-received Nintendo announcements that came out of this year’s E3 Media and Business Summit was news that Rockstar and Take-Two had a Grand Theft Auto title in development for the Nintendo DS, known as Chinatown Wars.

Nintendo, long known for catering to the family-friendly crowd, may quickly regret its decision.

News has surfaced that the upcoming Chinatown Wars includes a drug dealing mini-game…with Nintendo’s blessing.  Among the items on sale are weed, cocaine, acid, and heroin.  Evidently, the house that Mario built knows full well what it’s getting into, and Rockstar was not intent on making a GTA franchise for kids, according to an EDGE interview.

Most gamers do not think this will end well for Rockstar, T2, or Nintendo.  Nethertheless, the release is still some months away, so we’ll keep you informed if this changes.
