First @ TSSZ: Black Knight Trailer Coming to TGS

Info revealed as Japanese site opens

Thanks to TSSZ News reader Aqua Team, we now know that Sega has opened its Japanese Sonic and the Black Knight site.

But that’s just the beginning of the story.

There isn’t a lot to the site at the moment, but what is there is a message, in Japanese, that when translated reveals the game’s presence at next week’s Tokyo Game Show.

The message states loosely that there will be an exhibition of the game at TGS, possibly in video form.  That makes sense when you consider the two seconds of video Nintendo showed off of the game at yesterday’s Japanese press conference.  This new information leads us to believe there’s a lot more where that’s coming from.

One other interesting note from the new site–right now it appears the rumors of a name change for Japan may not be true.  A translation reveals a name of Sonic and the Dark Knight, but that’s close enough to the original for reasonable belief that the name will stay the same, especially given the significance of the name “Black Knight” in the Arthurian folklore this game is meant to replicate–one that may not translate well to a Japanese audience otherwise.
