“Negative” Comment on Blog Entry Removed
After a bit of a hiatus, the Sonic Nexus blog has been updated with some new heavily watermarked sprites. The update comes after more than a week and a half without new information on the hotly anticipated project.
But with that drought in information has come some chatter as to whether previous commitments are rendering the project “dead.” Such reasons for a major project’s demise are nothing new in the Sonic fan game community over the years, but it did require a response from Nexus director Slingerland, who admitted he deleted a comment on a previous entry that, according to him, called the project “dead” while also being offensive:
We are certainly not dead and never will be. Some clown decided to post that in the comments over the weekend and I got rather offended. Although we want our project to have a professional end result, it is still technically a hobby for us. Even with our college schedules, we are managing to get this much done, so I think we are doing just fine. Also, this guy pointed out that I deleted his comment, because it was “negative.” I don’t mind constructive criticism at all, but I will not tolerate flaming in the comments area. I want to avoid drama at all costs. If your comments got deleted, because you were responding to him, you did nothing wrong. I was just cleaning up. All of you guys have been really cool, so I do not think that I will have to worry about it too often.
We do not know the content of the purged comment in question and therefore cannot show it to you in order for you to make up your mind as to whether it rose to the level claimed.
Those who have commented this far on the new information welcomed the update. As major updates keep coming, keep checking back for the latest information on Sonic Nexus.

You know, one of my buds on dA is one of the producers on the game (RGX SuperSonic). If you’d like I could get some info for you guys.
Or he could ask me…the project’s director, Soap.
By the way, Tristan, the “negative” remarks were flames that included calling the team and I “unoriginal,” “dicks” and/or “shit heads,” if you were curious. They were completely unwarranted, and disrespectful, flames. It is simple as that. He continued to do so until I blacklisted his IP earlier this afternoon. The issue has been resolved, as it was just your average troll visiting our site.
If you’d have contacted us to get the full story, you’d have known that information. Seriously, I’m on AIM all day or you can E-mail me. Do something, rather than getting an incomplete story.
I didn’t know you were the director Slingerland-sama! Sorry…^^;
I’m fairly certain no one thought Nexus was canned. Another worthless “News” article
