A Free OST and Prizes Up for Grabs
On the heels of a successful time attack contest, the creators behind Sonic Nexus are putting a call out to all MIDI sequencers.
The objective is pretty simple, according to the official contest page. Make into a MIDI any original Nexus zone theme–from Sunset Shore to Wicked Works. You have a ton of time to do it, too–the contest closes on January 7th of next year.
The prizes are pretty substantial. All places will receive a free copy of the Nexus soundtrack. Only third place will receive just that prize, with second place receiving $10 in a choice of MS points, Wii points, or an Amazon gift card. First place receives the soundtrack with $20 in a choice of the points or gift card.
The page stresses that while this is a competition, it should also be used as an outlet for up and coming composers:
Let me stress one big point though: although this is a contest, I would like for this to be an opportunity for musicians and composers to showcase their skills. I would like a sense of community and brotherhood to surround this event. Try hard, and be encouraging. Other than that, go nuts!
