Are you Ready to Re-Buy?
If the current crop of 3D Sonic titles have you down, and you haven’t bought a rehash of a long existent 2D Sonic in some time, we’ve got good news for you.
It appears Sega is gearing up re-release more classic Sonic on current consoles. Widespread reports say that Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has been given another ESRB reclassification.
Sonic 3 joins a crop of Sega classics also going through the ratings knife, including Comiz Zone and Phantasy Star II. Keep in mind that Sonic 3 is already available on the Wii.
No word on a release date or a price, or how bonkers Sega is to push classic Sonic gameplay again so close to the release of Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection in just a couple months.

Huh? a classic SONIC game coming to PSN?! epicness.
Does the rating specify PSN or Xbox live? Because these games could be getting rated for the collection, right? Actually, individual titles in collections don’t need to be rated. I’m not sure how that works.
I already have Sonic and Knuckles Collection, and I don’t have an Xbox 360 or a Playstation 3.
I REMEMBER COMIX ZONE!
SEGA should have released Sonic 3 on XBL a long time ago.
By Sonic 3 I mean Sonic 3+ Sonic & Knuckles as Sonic 3 & Knuckles was meant to be ONE game.
Wait a sec… why are they doing this?
Why rebuy when you have the original?
woot. I’ll have this on 3 platforms after this!
Meh. Like I’d really pay $5 just to buy the exact same game I once had on Genesis, now have on Gamecube, and currently have on PS2.
