Just depends on who the buyer is. If it's a casual gamer, (or average person) then they're more likely to eat whatever some douchefag says on his blog or in a magazine right up. More hardcore gamers (or a wiser person) will probably take what they say with a grain of salt. Not to mention the developer shoehorning a great review in their ads. "10/10!! -IGN" Shit like that always helps. Myself, if I'm truly interested in a game, I'll try it out before tossing it aside. Give it a fair shake, and move on. Reviews are just opinions, anyway.
