Possible Wii VC Release in Tow
The Australian Classification Board–the government agency down under that rates games–has given a General rating for the Game Gear classic Sonic Chaos.
Of particular note in the Classification Board entry is the publisher for the title–Nintendo. That should sound off the signal that, in Australia at least, a release of the classic 8-bit Sonic game may be imminent for the Wii’s Virtual Console there, and hopefully in the rest of the world.
A couple of our international readers may know this Sonic title by a different name. In Europe it was released under the name Sonic the Hedgehog Chaos, while in Japan, the release was under the name of Sonic and Tails.

Sonic Chaos was also released on Master System aswell as Game Gear, I have the Master System version. So most likely this will be for the Master System portion of the Virtual Console since Game Gear isn’t on Virtual Console at the moment.
