Comic Con ’09: Pimp my GTA Ride

Awesome Art Promoting Rockstar’s Upcoming DS Game

Any other gaming site could tell you that Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will be out for the Nintendo DS come March 17th, and that it will likely do gangbuster numbers, and that anyone who doesn’t like GTA in general is a fool, et cetera.

I decided to give you a shot of the van they brought along to the Comic Con show floor to promote the game.  The shot here shows off the side of the purple van, which was tricked out with various character art.  On the other side, there were plenty of people checking out the game.  Rockstar brought out plenty of kiosks for the event, and rarely was any one of them unoccupied–even in the blinding New York City sunset.

I wanted to bring you more information on what went behind the van’s production–problem is, no one from their PR crew would talk to me about it on the show floor.  All the information I got is that there is some larger tie-in with the game.  I was told I’d be E-Mailed more info, but that hasn’t happened yet.  If we get anything, I’ll pass it along.
