Wow, I love how this has become a heated debate over who is the true Sonic fan.

I am going to go ahead and admit that I am NOT a Sonic fan, and proud of it. I only posted on an SMS forum because it represented a cartoon that I enjoyed as a kid. That’s it. The Sonic Universe as a whole can burn in the pits of Hell for all I give a shit.

So all the people harping about how much Sonic Stadium did for the Sonic community does not make me respect SS anymore than I used to. I still stand by my original words.

@Edgethesquirrel: Funny how WE’RE not real Sonic fans, having been around nearly 10 years, created some of the most prestigious events in Sonic fandom (Including the creation of Summer of Sonic btw in 2006, with Sega helping make it a bigger convention in 2008) and actually supporting people within the community as much as possible. I love how people who have never even done anything to support the community have the audacity to call us out as fakes or not true fans. You’re the equivalent of a fat alcoholic sitting at home getting paid benefits (Money paid by the taxpayer to stop you starving btw) who can’t even be arsed to get a job but saying “Damn black people are ruining this country.”

@Edgethesquirrel: I’m sorry but are you high? Those guys may have had problems with him in the past but remained loyal. They have featured fan art and work helped other sites when in need and helped The summer of sonic convention. While some of their articles did get the WTF? look at lot I sure as hell did. I still apreachiate their work.

We even have a club called the “Defend Sonic Brigade” that are celebrating this on Deviantart.com

All SS did was fricking bash the whole series. they are not true fans.

The TSS Network has been the key of several major revolutions in the Sonic fanbase since it’s conception and all you crybabies can do is whinge and cry for not bothering to be a part of it?

The key issue is the majority of the complaints are about the Sonic News system, and how much bias was involved in it. This in itself is true, but then you forgot that it isn’t Sonic News anymore, it is a BLOG. Opinions are part and parcel of the package. Regardless an upcoming design is set to look at seperating blog from news, so both parties will have their preference.

The sprites were kept, they are/were on Sonic Showcase Network (Which will have some major updating when the new design comes online) so anyone complaining about that is at fault for not looking.

Not to mention the benefits we created on Sonic Site Awards, the pixel art community and most recently the amazing expo known as Summer of Sonic. Though I find alot of Americans cry about it cos they don’t have Summer of Sonic, and whinge that they want one. The fact is that TSS among many other UK Sonic fansites put money, time and effort in to communicate with Sega Europe and help fund and create that experience. If you guys want one, make one. Stop being so lazy.

The irony here is that the people on that forum moan that TSS was up its own arse and snobby, yet their attitude just pangs of irony as thier reaction is the same way. A snobbish (If not jealous) blocking out of many members of the community all because “My sites better than your crappy site anyway” way of thinking. You’d rather remove community members like Dreadknux, me, Roarey Raccoon, Slingerland, Flint, D’Harhan, Flyboy Fox etc just to pander to your selfish want of no TSS? I’m glad I’m not part of the SoA community right now, I’d be ashamed
