Skiing, Snowboarding, Luge a Part of the Action
With thanks to Sonic fan site Blue Blur, there are new screenshots circulating from the upcoming late year release of Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games from the latest issue of Nintendo Power magazine.
With the new screenies, there is some new information, primarily involving multiplayer options. Nintendo Power reports the Wii edition will feature cooperative and competitive split-screen multiplayer options, while the DS edition will only see competitive multiplayer. The Balance Board can also be utilized in some sports for the Wii edition.
Thus far, it appears alpine skiing, snowboarding, luge, and speed skating will make the cut for the Olympic battle royale, and as previously reported, all characters from the Summer Olympic showdown will return.

i really hope they add Silver for skill type and somewhat Rouge for Power type the only good flight type sonic characters are Tails Silver and Rouge
not sure if silver qualifies as a flight type character…then again I didn’t think echidnas would glide either or that hedgehogs could move particularly fast so I guess Sega can make him anything they want.
I remember using Sonic, Blaze, Tails and Shadow the most on my ds version of M&S. Thought the sonic characters were cuter, but yoshi was alright ^.^
Hopefully in this version there is more of a gap between skills in characters.
well i say Silver is a flight character because like in Sonic Riders he had Flight in that game like with the flight board and ya also he can hover in sonic games and the best mario character is Yoshi ^^
Sonic’s model looks like a less shiny SatBK model.
wait i just noticed something this game is made from sega only so wait shouldnt it be both companys because i only see the sega label on the game?

Crysore: If M&S is a very big game they can’t give it so good graphics. Bit it is OK. But I would like to have better graphics. If ONLY Nintendo made better consolse. I don’t say their bad but look att the other, they can do so much more.
Anyway, I hope I get this for christmas if it comes out before the 24th.
i am not getting the wii version of the game because it might have bad gameplay like in the Mario and Sonic at the olympic games as will the DS version is way better in my opnion also they should have wifi so you can play against your friends on wifi i dont like the ranking it was boring =/
I hope this one is easier than the first on the DS, because I keep losing to Yoshi with Sonic when you get further. I was so close into completing the game with Sonic until I lost the game.

sonic games are more popualer and i hope they make sonic games on wii and xbox360 and ps3 so i want silver,medal sonic,chaos and new charathers they should make story mode so mario and sonic chaleging.

It seems as though the characters in this game don’t need bindings to keep their skies & snowboards stuck to their feet.
on a side note, mario and sonic look kind of like shadow hen hes running.
huh another pointless addition to the mario series i mean seriously
are sega still adding a couple of new characters to this game? if so I would LOVE to see Rouge, I was dissapointed she wasnt there on the first game, she would be funny with her attitude ^^ and I hope shes a power character too, because she’s supposed to have super human lower body strength (opposite to knuckles)
- also in this game I would love to see some proper rivals in the challenges (like sonic vs shadow, Knuckles vs rouge, Tails vs eggman, mario vs wario etc.)

yes and (Sonic Vs Eggman Mario Vs Bowser Luigi Vs Waluigi and maybe a Knuckles Vs Blaze they are both guardians and my favorite characters in my top 10 ^^
