Overwhelming Amount of Polled say it’s at Least Possible
The results of the latest TSSZ News @Issue poll show more than half of respondents absolutely believe mainstream gaming media outlets have a bias against the Sonic franchise, with more than eighty percent at least believing it to be possible.
Out of 591 participants, 58 percent responded “Yes” to the question. Further, 23 percent responded with “Maybe.”
Only 15 percent responded with “No.” Another five percent weren’t sure.
The poll results come on a heel of at best mixed praise for Sonic and the Black Knight and Sonic Unleashed, both from mainstream outlets and some in Sonic fandom.

I think the only thing that’s biased are the Sonic fans. If we get up and arm ourselves every time a site says bad things, well then who’s the one that looks like their nuts? Us.
The only site I’d consider biased is IGN, but simply beyond the fact that they don’t seem to play the games, they also just seem to be very stupid, in general. It’s a hate for me that goes far beyond Sonic.
I dont know, I voted “not sure” beacuse some have every excuse to be biased, and some dont.
The reason I voted ‘no’ was because I genuinely think the mainstream media want to see a fantastic Sonic game but just aren’t seeing that in any of the new releases. I think some of them are marking the new games harshly to make a point rather than hating the blue blur. What do they have to gain by burying Sonic unfairly?

I voted yes. Sonic and the black knight, I can understand the hate. It wasn’t a great game. Kids I know still have fun playing it though. Sonic Unleashed, on the other hand, is in my opinion the most underrated sonic game of all time, and was OBVIOUSLY biased because of the werehog. It’s obvious that although the reviewers did not enjoy the game, an overwhelming majority of the fan base DID. Including me; it’s my favorite sonic game asides sonic 3 & knuckles. Even if you don’t like the werehog (which I DO anyway) there are 100 missions for you to do, as well as extra acts and items to find. People really need to think about how much effort went into the game when reviewing it, even if the gameplay isn’t perfect.

I’m only upset about the SatBK IGN review because it scored lower than those super shitty ‘Imagine’ games. I always knew that MSM was against sonic way back at Shadow, which I liked. I thought it was better than Prince 3, which scored way higher, but was essentially the same game, minus guns, plus an Ivy sword.
