New Video: Watch Sega’s Storm-G Arcade Unit

segaArcade Prowess Costs a Pretty Penny

Sega is still going strong in a waning arcade business.  If you need proof, you need look no further than the company’s latest offering, Storm-G.

The mega cabinet bobsledding joyride is on display at Sega’s Joypolis arcade location in Odaiba, and website AkihabaraNews.com has posted some footage of both the setup and pieces of gameplay.  Most of the time you’ll be watching a man rotate 360 degrees in the unit, though, and really, isn’t that entertaining enough?

Storm-G only has two course, each with varying degrees of difficulty.  In all, up to 8 players can partake in the action.  Will you see it at your local arcade?  It’s unlikely–Sega only has plans to show off Storm-G in Japan andat the company’s upcoming location in Dubai, UAE.  Even if the game were to hit domestic shores, you would likely pay no less than six dollars for a single round.
