Almost Assured Confirmation Series will Continue
The last poll on Sonic’s Facebook page–concerning what secondary Sonic character you’d like to see return–had ramifications that seemed a little less serious than the present one.
The latest poll asks what genre you’d like to see the next Sonic storybook series set in. It’s almost a sure confirmation that the Storybook series will continue after Sonic and the Black Knight, and the timing is important; it could mean your input determines the direction of the next game.
How can that be such a certainty? One of our exclusive interviews from the New York Comic Con in February revealed that the development cycle for the storybook series is two years, and begins almost immediately after one game is finished. Sonic and the Black Knight was finished as early as January, and that means the next title presumed for 2011 is still early in those stages, possibly as early as molding the core concept.
The current choices include Film Noir, Horror, Sci-Fi, Western/Cowboy, “Other,” and perhaps the most appropriate and plausible, Greek Myths and Legends. You have to wonder, with such detail, if that last one is a big hint.
You need to have Facebook polls enabled on your profile to vote, and you may need to become a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog in order to participate. TSSZ News will keep tabs of the results just in case, but if nothing else, the poll is yet another example of how closely Sega is listening to Sonic fandom in these times.

i say just cut the crap and give us a new sonic adventure game.
(but i thought sonic and the black knight was kinda good though…)
I think either Horror or Mythology I am not able to chhose it is too hard but Sonic as a cowhog….HA! That just kills it all so horror or mythology…yup..
how about we break it down. all these have good and bad right. i desided to consider the realistics of this.
if its a western then it most likely means its going to be a shooter and that prety much ruins the sonic “speed” concept.
horror would be pretty violent unless they do bring back the wearhog.
scifi would just be anouther reg sonic game. robots and whatnot.
and greekmyths and legends? that would be best cause well storybook ya know it fits. (could do hercules or something)

I know this isnt sonic but the should have anouther ganbare goemon game come overseas from japan to america.
How about Greek myth like Hercules.Sonic can keep super speed like always but somehow in the first of the story he gains super strength as a blessing from zeus to take on hades.
Awessome!, I love the sonic storybook series. Funny, I thought the next game would be about Greek mythology! In the mean time I’m waiting for Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. I wonder If Silver will be in it, along with Rouge and Jet.
i think it would be awsome to have a si fi sonic game or if they went back to the old sonic like sonic unleshed but with places like green hill or something

I think I’m gonna go for Horror. I just need to see Sonic in a creepy, spine -chilling atomsphere.
Personally, I like the idea of a Horror, Sci-Fi, or Greek Myths and Legends game, and,really, why is Western even on there?
I think that they should make a mythology game. they already made a type of horor and sonic isn’t really a scary type. and the black and white thing, so dull. and what’s up with the cowboy thing you don’t really expect sonic to be going aroung saying stuff like “…………..DRAW!” and sonic is already a sci-fi type

Horror sounds interesting, Greek Myths and Legends is ok, but I was hoping that they could do a spin off of alice in wonderland. Sonic and the Jaberwocky, anyone?
I think cus its all to do with stories and stuff the next one should be Alice in Wonderland, that would be epic!! Who wouldn’t want to see Sonic slowly slipping into madness?
