Will Take on Final Fantasy, Zelda in Round 2
After a disappointing mid-week loss by Sonic 3 in the GameFAQs Best Game Ever brackets, Saturday’s vote of more than 100,000 crowned a clear champion in the group of four–Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
The classic Sonic game beat out its competition to advance to the next round, with more than 37 percent of the vote. Mortal Kombat II will join Sonic 2, leaving Secret of Mana and Shining Force II in the dust.
The voting not only means the original Sonic from 1991 will do battle in its division, its sequel will represent in the 1992-94 division semi-final. When the time comes, Sonic 2 will go up against Final Fantasy 3, Zelda: Link’s Awakening, and Mortal Kombat II.

Will this is great news but why isnt Sonic Cd on the list? (Is it possible that thats game could beat all of them knowing its the best Sonic game of all time is that why its not on the list?)

well no one played FFIII on the Nes, links awakeining was on the gameboy,, but at least mortal kombat may provide some copetition

FFIII…..the older FF games just suck. I think Crisis Core is the best one so far.
Yeah, Sonic CD should be there! And Why Sonic3, why not Sonic 3 & Knuckles that was waaaay better with hyper sonic,tails, knuckles and everything!
Going against Final Fantasy 6? Sorry, Sonic 2′s gonna lose to that big time. I’m not sure if that round will still have two winners, but if it’s just one, Sonic 2 ain’t gonna go any farther. Even I would place FF6 above Sonic 2. I get the feeling these Sonic games are placed in very tough pools!

sonic is best hedgehog characther thier is new sonic game called sonic chronicles 2 and sonic unleashed 2 for 2009 because something tells that chronicles and unleashed came out in 2008 chronicles 2 & unleashed 2 relase 2009?
My question is why aren’t the best Sonic games on there? I’m speaking of the Adventure games. Hell, it had Mario Galaxy, why not Sonic Unleashed?

I was meaning it couldive been in a bracket for the older games, if there was one for the year it was released.
And bah, the whole “sonic in the rut” things to be expected. All too common nowadays in competitions like this.
