Ian Flynn Offers Copies to Those Who Missed It
Saturday, May 2nd, was Free Comic Book Day, and Archie Comics participated by offering copies Sonic: Evolution of a Hero free of charge to newsstands and comic book stores.
Of course, sometimes there aren’t enough hours in the day to get your hands on free stuff. That’s why Ian Flynn is stepping in and offering to send copies out to anyone interested.
You will need to pay something–just shipping and handling costs–and you’ll likely need to become a member of the Bumbleking Comics forums where Flynn made the announcement upon Free Comic Book Day’s conclusion, but just taking these steps before May 31 should ensure you get a copy.
Here, in Flynn’s words, is what you need to do:
1) You PM me with your info like so:
Name
Home Address
Method of payment (PayPal / Post / Money Order)2) I’ll update the list daily and try to have comics out weekly.
3) S&H are as follows:
U.S.A. – $2.00 US
International – $5.00 US4) When submitting your payment, please include some kind of note that identifies you. If it’s PayPal, send along your username in the comments section. If it’s post or money order, include a small letter with your username on it. It’ll make record keeping much easier for me.
If by the end of it all I come up short, I’ll pay the difference out of my own pocket. If I’ve managed to collect extra, it will go towards paying for the website. I will not be profiting from this.
So far, about thirty people have taken Flynn up on his offer.

Shipping and Handiling…..we have to pay for someone to walk a comic to our door, thats stupid.
As well as not rip, shred, crinkle or otherwise manhandle it. It’s sorta stupid, but now the post is obligated by law, not just morale, to do it’s job right.
Well, it’s neccasary. Otherwise, they are paying to send it to you. Someone has to pay the cost.
Luckily, my comic shop had it…I just picked it up the next week. It’s not anything that special…it’s kind of a warmup for that upcoming Sonic Encyclopedia.
Yeah, it’s really nothing special. It’s based on the comic’s universe, which unfortunately, didn’t expect. I thought it would be more video game based… Oh well.
I could scan it for anyone if they want it. P-:
Lucky for me I got it for $1 at Motor City Comic Con.
well living in the UK would i be able to grab one
i see international ^^
@Crysore:
He’s giving us free comics and you expect HIM to pay shipping? WTF…
