Cover, First 5 Pages, and Giant Evil Panda Inside
The final component of the Shadow Saga arc ends today with the first shipments of Sonic Universe issue #4 going out in the mail. In addition, the issue will be at comic book stores in a week, and then at newsstands on June 9th.
This fourth part begins with Shadow and Rouge thrust into the Special Zone, where they meet a panda named Feist. Unlike the cute, cuddly pandas you see at the zoo, this one is a bit more…agitated. He’s also quite huge. Good luck with that.
Ian Flynn penned the script and Tracy Yardley headed the art. Following the description below are the first five pages of the comic released by Archie, as well as the cover.

So, Ian used the Sonic 3D Blast’s special stage for the genesis. Not my favorate, but cool reference.
First!
why do people keep saying FIRST when there to comment so its just not Youtube then its over here to then i guess and lol a Panda looks harmless but they really are rampaging beasts XD
Special Surrealism Zone?
Cool. With a panda leader no less. The one to overthrow Shadow’s power…. This is pretty epic.
I love the refrence, Fiest’s challenges are the special stage challenges in the sonic games, thats how he sees if people are worthy enought to obtain the Emmeralds. I want to see a Sonic Heroes special stage
“We all danced in fire…”♪
Sweet! Man, I’ve really enjoyed the issues of Sonic Universe and #4 is shaping up to look REALLY good!
Rouge! What does the scouter say about Feist’s power level?!
Nobody say ANYTHING!
I don’t like how they tied Sonic Universe to the other comic universe- it just ties it down. Why not base it on the game series, or better yet, create something entirely new?
*looks at evil panda*
The fuck?
Ethan : IT`S OVER 9000 !!!!! LOL
@Edwin: could see someone saying that lol
Oh wow I remember that Giant Panda. He hasn’t been seen in a while though that’s for sure.
@PJMan: Huh? He’s been in the comics before?
Venom : At first when I heard Sonic Universe I thought it would the Sonic to bring back roots of Genesis & Adventure games but I guess a new sonic comic is better … I still think Sonic Universe would fit a game better… :[
@Edwin Shy: Universe was made to expand the archieverse and to tell elseworld stories. Like more Sonic X stories.
