Second Major Dev to Pull Back, Sega Comments Inside
As concerns spread about the H1N1 virus in Japan that is better known as swine flu, its impact on E3 became a bit greater overnight.
Kotaku reports that the Japanese division of developer Koei hasn’t completely pulled out of the expo, but only limited personnel from that particular division will be making the trip to the show floor. They become the second major developer to curtail their plans for the expo.
The outstanding body count will be made up by members of Koei Canada.
Though there are no travel restrictions being imposed by the Japanese government, some airports and airlines are still quarantining H1N1 cases found independently. Decisions on whether to attend are being made independent of the growing amount of H1N1 cases, and we are happy to report that Sega will not succumb to the fears. The company confirmed to Kotaku that their Japanese division will have a presence at this year’s expo, and that their plans have not been changed or altered due to those health concerns.

Again? Seesh!
GO SEGA!!! youre no cowards!!!! LOL Im just happy that they will be there =P
Just like Sonic SEGA is no coward ! *Raises a flag with “SEGA!” on it*
Perhaps SEGA isn’t afraid because they have something very big to show off?
Does anyone actually care about KOEI?
Yeah right, SEGA’s no coward… although they ain’t gonna do anything special there, they aren’t presenting any BOMB game…
@everyone: funny it tomorrow they spill the bad knews
I’m prayin that there is SOME info on a new Sonic game, perhaps chronicles or a new Riders, or a completely new one all together.
@ TailstheHedgehog Many sonic fans dont like Sonic Riders there is a high chance of a Sonic Rush 3 because Sonic Rush 2005 Sonic Rush Adventure 2007 and now its 2009 also Sega are probally doing a Portable game like they already released 2 new Console games so ya Sonic Rush 3 might be it
I’m hoping that Koei will show off Samurai Warriors 3 for Wii, I’m curious of how it’ll look on the Wii, all we’ve seen os that assumed CG trailer at Nintendo’s October conference.
Other than that, there’s nothing from them I’m interested in. Of course this is coming from a Wii owner.
I highly assume that this year (E3 or not) we’ll see Rush 3, Riders 3 (Wii-exclusive with Balance Board controls? YES PLEASE!), and probably Rival 3 as well, though I doubt that series have been that good of a seller, I dunno.
Interesting to note, have you guys seen the new Dragon Ball game for the Wii? While unconfirmed, it seems that Dimps could very well be behind the game, as it seems to be based on Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure for the GBA, also by Dimps!
Look at my flickr page for screens:
