BrazSonic 2 Demo Released, SAGE Showing Promised

Game Includes PS1/PS2 Controller Support
After two years of laying dormant, a new public demo of Sonic fan game project BrazSonic 2 was released yesterday. Personal matters were cited for such a long wait.
Instead of more traditional SFGs that center around Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, creator Godmaster has BrazSonic, PeloTails, and Baianuckles at your disposal, each with their own set of special moves.
Godmaster promises the game will show up at this year’s Sonic Amateur Games Expo. That, however, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a demo of the game right now. You need a dual core CPU and 512 MB of RAM with 15 megs of hard drive space to enjoy the build. There are also some new screenshots that were released with the announcement, and you can find those below.
Here’s what you get within the RAR file:
1 complete action stage + stage boss
3 playable characters (and more hidden one for you find out how to play too)
Different abilities for each character
A.I. enemies
Several kinds of items
Gimmicks (devices, levers, draggable platforms, elevators, etc.)
PSX/PS2 joystick support
We’ll be sure to follow the progress of BrazSonic 2 and the other titles slated for exhibition at this year’s SAGE. TSSZ News is your source for total, complete SAGE coverage.

I remember this I read about the 1st game about 3 years ago
Well, isn’t it great, it neraly destroyed my computer!
What do you mean by “nearly destroyed my computer” ??
I’ll pass- fan characters suck.
Google? It reminds me of Web Access
Venom : I kinda agree the only good characters is your own character
Why does a 2D game need a Dualcore to function properly?
It’s a recolor adventure!
That aside the game looks kind of cool, I might try it out.
Advertising PS1/PS2 controller support as a “special” feature? Why not just support any old controllers using the operating system’s joystick APIs? That way, you can get support for PS1 and PS2 controllers as well as all other controllers. (Of course, this requires that your OS actually supports them. Linux supports PS1, PS2, and PS3 controllers out of the box; not sure about other operating systems.)
Requiring a dual-core CPU for a 2D game, of course, is rather insane. Of course, the game was written in Borland Delphi, which no sane programmer would use nowadays. Additionally, the game uses DirectMusic, which means it uses MIDI for background music. (DirectMusic’s been deprecated for quite some time, too.)
Yay, more recolors!
Looks good, despite the recolors.
Seriously, is it THAT hard to make an original fan character?
