Gametrailers gets up close and personal with All-Stars Racing
As E3 rolls on, more video of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing continues to trickle out – this time, from Gametrailers, as they get a live demonstration on the show floor of the game. The track shown is “Forgotten Falls”, though the announcer clearly calls it Seaside Hill – a reference to the tracks’s roots in the Sonic Heroes level of the same name. The developer confirms that the final, retail game will feature over 20 power-ups and 20 playable characters.

All told, it looks like a pretty standard kart racer to me – but considering both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 have no games of that type to speak of, it is a welcome addition to the line-up.

Yaaay ~ I see Crabmeat and Choppers, good to see they are dragging back memory’s, I am interested to see if the PC version is still up and running, I am beginning to think I am the only one that cares about it anymore. And gawd ~ I was hoping that “shoe” was a “get out and run” power up, although that would make little sense for Ai-Ai.
That track looked amazing! Why can’t modern Sonic games have level design like that? I MISS CRABMEAT!

Awesome they better mostly add Knuckles he is like losing his status as a playable character now they should add Knuckles,Metal Sonic, Rouge, Blaze and Silver it was just wrong they added Big he isnt a popular character so ya

Allstar moves are original? I hope he means to each character in the game, because that whole catch-up technique has been done alot in the Mario Kart games. Infact, it’s one thing that’s abused in Mario Kart Wii.
We dont need a million Sonic characters in this game. I’d rather have more variety in the characters than Sonic character number 21.
This isn’t Sonic Riders. There are too many Sonic characters as it is in this game already.

Some of us feel that there should be because Big is a useless stupid character like what about Knuckles,Metal Sonic,Blaze and Silver they need more love then that stupid Big also what about NIGHTS
Haha! I hate Big in Adventure, heroes and all the old games. I think he is stupid. But I think that it’s just really fun with him in this game. That they take a not so normal character in the game is just fun. But they have to put in Knuckles.
And why not lots of characters. It’s just better with many!

I want Knuckles. Metal Sonic would be nice but I do want at least Knuckles. Also @John Taylor. What do you expect? They put the word Sonic in the title so they could get away with a roster filled to the brim with Sonic characters. Otherwise it would have simply been Sega Superstar’s Racing

NiGHTS isn’t a Sonic character. He/She/It was made by Sonic Team. Like Chu Chu Rocket, Phantasy Star Online and Burning Rangers amongst others.
They just slap Sonic’s name on anything now. I mean Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection didn’t even have every single Genesis Sonic game now, did it?
Also, some of you genuinely want Silver, playable, in the game? I mean at least Big has a character.
Any more than 2 more Sonic characters and they might as well made Sonic Riders 3. Especially seeing as there are only “over 20″ characters. I want more pre-Dreamcast Sega love.
I mean, Nintendo didn’t fill Super Smash Bros to the brim with Mario characters, did they?

I hope Silver turns up… he had a bad debut but he’s still pretty awesome.
As for what characters should be included, the only non-Sonic character I care about is NiGHTS, the others are just: meh. Sega can throw in all the characters they want as long as we have Team Sonic, Team Dark, plus Silver and Amy Rose.
And maybe Espio or Jet the Hawk, they’re not bad

They need to put a Burning Rangers and a PSO(U) level in here. Did Sonic Team make Astal? ‘Cause a level for that would be downright beautiful. Some Comix Zone love would be great too. It won’t happen, but a Wii exclusive Conduit or Madworld level would be win.
I really don`t have a problem with Big being playable but I want him a Froggy car & not a bike…
