I’m glad you guys did a follow-up report on this! Way to be on top of things! I highly doubt these channels are real, but it would be nice to have some official conformation of this!

Why another Sonic compilation is needed?
Gee, I can’t imagine what could be put on there.
Honestly, with the recent Ultimate Genesis Collection’s release, I can’t see why they couldn’t make a compilation with every Sonic Genesis, Master System, and Game Gear game ever made, along with Sonic CD, Sonic The Fighters, Sonic R, Sega Sonic Arcade, Knuckles Chaotix, maybe an ultimate unlockable of the Xtreme tech demo…hell, even throw in Flicky and Ristar. They’ve proven that an ultra compilation to end all compilations is possible, they just haven’t spent enough time to do it.
Hm? Sega Sonic Arcade uses a trackball? Well, there has to be some way around that. Knuckles Chaotix has emulation problems? We can wait. Try try again and all that.
Just do it, get it over with. Release the game that will cause every Sonic fan to have seizures from joy. Easy access to any game we want to play.

Something smells fishy…
I thought the channels themselves were pretty cool. I laughed aloud when I read that Sonic’s favourite music was his own theme songs xD The channel itself looked quite official, and the language used by the speaker (that is, Sonic) suited the hedgehog perfectly, though I can see how the article above is going raise some sceptical eyebrows anyway.
Perhaps the channels are official, and somebody just made a rather large boo-boo. But I’m an optimist…
