Emulators Allow Early Play; More New Video Inside
It now appears that several editions of Gameloft’s mobile Sonic Unleashed have been leaked before the game’s proper launch.
Gamers eager to get their hands on the 2D only experience have been downloading the game and using computer emulators to play. Though TSSZ News will not offer online links to such downloads for legal reasons, we can confirm that several different resolutions are available to adapt to different sizes of mobile phones, and many of those downloads are tailored to Nokia and Sony Ericsson brand touch screen devices. No proper version for the Apple iPhone or iPod Touch–a system originally rumored to be included in the game’s launch–has yet been found, to our knowledge.
One of those playing includes our editor Ryan Bloom, and he’s posted some new video of the game’s Chun-Nan stage. Take a look, and keep in mind that these are being played via special emulators, so in terms of execution, levels of perfection should not be expected here (and in particular the second video, where the emulator crashes!)

i wouldn`t say its the best game ever of sonic, coughwerehogcough! yeah…. but with the DLC then its simply awsome

Hehe, I think SU was the best Sonic game too, though I never played SA1/2 so it’s not like I’ve played the whole sample of 3D games. But still, nothing goes THAT fast, it’s awesome without a doubt.

I think SU 360/PS3 is the best Sonic game ever. Werehog had actually some fun stuff… And the day stages were AWSOME!
Oh my god the rail gimmick is one of the lamest gimmicks that has ever disgraced the Sonic series. These games are a disgrace to Sonic. I’ll stick to my game gear Sonic games if I want cheap simple 2D fun, thanks.
The music in the 2nd video is probably how Chun-Nan would sound if it was in a PS1 Crash Bandicoot game. With lower quality music.
Oh… so that first trailer WASN’T for the IPhone/I-Pod Touch. Hopefully they’ll improve the graphics for those versions.
Doesn’t look to great, but I’ll say this: That air gauge underwater is what every 2D sonic game needs.

I barely can’t wait for SONIC UNLEASHED 2 «or something like that with the HEDGEHOG ENGINE, I just hope that they make a SU2 but with stages like the old school sonic games, for example: Stage 1 – Act 1 ; Stage 1 – Act 2 ; Stage 1 – Act 3 (with boss battle).
Those kind of things, or simply make more stages, the Werehog wasn’t that bad I like him like most people do, but if Sonic Team (Sega) want to change that, they could make Sonic stages (Daytime and Nighttime) and make some Knuckles stages with some badnicks to destroy, or something like that.

I wanna get it on my phone, but it’s not any type of Iphone.
It sucks! I mean, it doesn’t work on my Nokia 5310 XpressMusic!!! It kept saying java/error/out of memory!!! Does any anyone have it less the 795 Kilobytes (KB)? I like the game though! 2D and 3D environment! It works on my Dad’s Sony Ericsson K800i!
