Sonic 3 Now Available on XBOX Live Marketplace

The classic Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is now available on the XBOX Live Marketplace for a pretty reasonable price.
For 400 Microsoft points, you can grab the game off the marketplace, and it includes online multiplayer competition options. Achievements are also a part of the package. Co-op multiplayer, unfortunately, is not online-enabled.
If you’re on the fence about plunking down the points, you can download a free demo before buying. This is just the first piece of the Sonic puzzle on XBOX Live this Summer; later on, the lock-on enabled Sonic and Knuckles will be arriving, and when it does, we will pass on the information here.

Im glad this got released but I do have one complaint. Why did they replace the In game save system. Instead we just select a character from their menu and go straight into the game. It only bothers me because the In game save system allowed you to select any level after beating the game. And it kept your chaos emeralds too so you could replay the levels as super sonic.
It doesnt bother me too much for this game since I have it on the Ultimate Megadrive Collection. But If they do the same thing for Sonic 3 & Knuckles that will suck.
… They really remvoed the save screen?

No original save screen = instant fail.
I wasn’t going to buy this anyway but damn. No one should buy this now. Buy Sonic’s Genesis Collection instead if your desperate for buying Sonic 3 for the umpteenth time.
Fun as hell. Easiest 200 gamepoints I ever got. All achievements in under an hour
