Facebook Sonic Poll Asks for Your Favorite Levels

It’s always fun to speculate–it certainly happened enough with the last major poll the Facebook Sonic poll–and that’s what makes the current poll just as interesting.

The latest poll asks you to choose your favorite level from each of the major Sonic games to date–from the classic canons of Sonic 1, 2, 3, CD, and Sonic and Knuckles, to current favorites like Sonic Unleashed, Sonic and the Black Knight, Sonic Heroes, and even the 2006 Sonic the Hedgehog.  Voters choose one level from each of the games presented.  Don’t look for any side titles here–these appear to be for Sega produced and developed titles only.

Of course, this provides plenty of opportunity to not only participate, but guess what the poll means.  But why do it ourselves when serpx, who sent in the news tip (as did another one of our readers, Fox Gungrave), can do it for us:

I’m curious if SEGA is doing this mainly for fun, or for consumer research.  It’d be great to see a game (if it’s made well) that remade all our favorite classic levels.

Now, that might be a stretch…but Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing is still in development for early next year, and surely that needs some more Sonic flavor…right?

For the moment though, the only wider context we can draw is that the poll is being done in part to celebrate Sonic’s 18th birthday, coming up next week.
