Blaze and Daisy are Coming Back
TSSZ News has obtained 34 new screenshots of the upcoming Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games–21 of which thanks to news tipster Fox Gungrave–and from them, we can confirm that Blaze the Cat and Princess Daisy, who were in the original Olympic collaboration, appear slated to return.
The two appear along with Amy Rose and Princess Peach in a CG screenshot. There were hints of the duo–and, really, the exact screenshot–from the most recent trailer showcased at E3, with Blaze seen more than Daisy, but if you blinked, you may have missed any or all of it. Though they have not yet been officially announced as part of the game’s roster, many from the original Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games are on deck to return as it is, so the news shouldn’t come as a shock. It’s part of all the high resolution shots we have below for your viewing pleasure, which include more figure skating, more cross country skiing, and more ice hockey. Most, if not all, appear new, and most in-game shots are still strangely in 1080p HD resolution–even though the Wii does not support HD.
We may have found a few more new screenshots from the game’s DS counterpart as well, and we’ll be sharing those with you tomorrow morning on TSSZ News. No, really? You couldn’t tell this from the E3 trailer (or just looking at some of the early screen shots that showed them)?
Wow, TSSZ isn’t exactly ahead of the curve.
(EDIT Note – I write these about 5, 6 in the morning…though that will change in a couple months, I’ve admitted in the past I’m not at my sharpest 100% of the time when writing these so early, and I’ve noted in the article their appearance in the trailer…though if you’re like me, you blink, and you miss it. Keep piling it on, and your IP gets banned. -T)

Sorry guys, but nothing new here. Blaze, and Daisy, as Venom stated, were confirmed long ago, on several occassions. They’ve been in earliers screenshots, the E3 trailer, and in an interview some time ago it was stated that all characters from the original would return. I guess that excludes Blaze, and Daisy? I realise that you’re tired, but seriously, old news, is old news.

Blaze and Daisy were confirmed in that E3 trailer that posted HERE two weeks ago. This is nothing new.
Peach and Daisy´s winter dresses is really scary. Their clothes looks like something an old woman would wear, don’t they have any taste???
*Sign* They really have to give them something, better to be serius, Peach and Daisy clothes is getting worse and worse for every new game. Just give them somthing cool!!!
Not something that an old lady would wear, just look att that white thing near the neck! That pattern is so waful! I don’t know what more stupid things I can see.
Blaze and Amy looks OK, the clothes looks kinda empty. Ok, Amy’s is perfect but Blaze is not sooo good.
Lol, at least I think Peach and Daisy are two funny characters, Daisy with that annoying funny voice.

@Osnic: Well seeing as the game is targeting children the clothing cannot breach the ‘modest’ line by a finger-nail, though I’m sure Sega could have done a better job anyway.
I wonder if we’ll see cute little gameplay cameo’s from either Sonicverse or Mario’s, such as rail grinding or whatever you would see in a Mario game…
Rail grinding plus snow boarding would be awesome beyond measure ^.^ (though it was near impossible to do in a certain previous game).
@Osnic: Nah I take it back actually, Amy looks fine and I don’t really care much about Peach but she looks alright too.

Mario Strikers and Strikers Charged was aimed at kids too. Have you seen the way Peach and Daisy are dressed in that? Combine that with Peach shaking her pixelated gadonka donk everytime she scores. I’m sure, if they wanted to, they could have gone with a (slightly) riskier outfit.

I’m in total agreement. Why, even the first Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games featured the female cast in fairly revealing outfits. The attire featured in this game is fit for the setting, and if any of them were any less clothed than they currently are they’d most likely be freezing their asses off.
This just may be the first game in which Rouge doesn’t show off massive amounts of cleavage.
Not to mention, in one SSX game (I forget which…) Peach is a PC, and you can get clear pantyshots of her.
I use that shot of Amy, Blaze, Peach and Daisy as my current wallpaper, all four of them are my favorite VG characters.
And yes as it has already been said, the return of Blaze and Daisy is nothing new.
